Pediatric Dentistry

Dear parents, your child's oral health is in your hands!

Pediatric dentistry encompasses primary and comprehensive prevention, care of children's oral health from birth to 18 years of age, and education and motivation of parents about the importance and ways of maintaining their child's oral health.

Although a newborn's mouth is sterile, the eruption of the first teeth leads to the colonization of cariogenic bacteria. The first primary teeth appear in a child's mouth between 6 months and one year of age. During the first visit, we aim to familiarize the child with the dental office in a playful and cheerful way, introducing them to dental instruments and the dentist. This approach helps the child build trust in the dentist so they can later sit independently in the dental chair without fear.

Preventive measures that our dentists perform in the clinic include professional removal of soft deposits, topical fluoridation, fissure sealing, instructions on oral hygiene and proper nutrition, and orthodontic consultations.

Unfortunately, there is often a prevailing belief that baby teeth need not be preserved because permanent ones will replace them. The health of baby teeth is very important as they maintain space for permanent teeth, guide their eruption, and promote proper development of the dental arches. Regular visits to the dentist allow orthodontic anomalies to be detected at the earliest age.

Our dentists work closely with parents to foster the child's positive attitude toward the dental office, ensuring that our young patients feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed.
